Senior hire for Moore and Smalley in Blackpool
Regional accountancy and business advisory firm, Moore and Smalley, has strengthened its Blackpool office with a new senior appointment.
Darren Pilkington has joined the firm as a corporate services manager from Preston accountancy firm Haleys.
He has over 25 years’ experience advising SMEs on accountancy, financial compliance and business planning strategies.
Mike Hardaker, a partner at Moore and Smalley’s Blackpool office, said: “Darren has a long track record for working with entrepreneurial and growing businesses, helping to deliver added-value advice that clients trust.
“He’s a great addition to our team on the Fylde at a time when we are seeing growth in our client base across the region.”
Darren, who also spent a number of years working with RSM Tenon, added: “I’ve experienced working with a full-spectrum of businesses from sole traders and partnerships to larger limited companies. I feel I can make a real difference at Moore and Smalley. The firm is well respected by its clients for the quality of the advice it offers.”
Moore and Smalley revealed record financial results earlier this year, with fee income rising to £14.2m.
It also opened regional hubs in Manchester and Liverpool in addition to its other offices in Preston, Blackpool, Lancaster, Kendal, Southport and East Midlands.
