New development launches at Doncaster’s Parkside Business Park

St. Modwen marked the completion of the first two commercial buildings on its new 250,000 sq ft development at Parkside Business Park by hosting the business community at the Autumn Doncaster Property Forum.

The forum, which over 100 people attended, saw property agents, business leaders and professionals from Doncaster come together to showcase the completion of the two new units, as well as hear presentations on business developments in the region.

Now completed, Unit A (36,846sq ft) and Unit B (41,095 sq ft) each offers warehouse space, complete with an upstairs office, large secure yard and good parking provision.

Both units were completed in September and are now being jointly marketed by property consultants CBRE and Commercial Property People.

Tim Hazeltine, inward investment manager at Business Doncaster, said: “Business Doncaster are very pleased to see St. Modwen deliver such a pair of magnificent buildings at this rapidly growing business location.

“We look forward to helping secure occupiers for these buildings and the jobs and opportunities that will follow for the people of Doncaster”

Robert Richardson, development manager at St. Modwen, added: “We are very pleased to have officially launched these two new units in the company of Doncaster’s business community as we have a strong commitment to the city and the region.

“We believe these buildings set a new benchmark in terms of specification and quality and that they will satisfy the current shortage of good quality mid-size warehouse space in Doncaster and South Yorkshire.”

Jacques Esterhuizen, associate director at CBRE, also commented: “These two new warehouses, along with the wider Parkside Business Park development, are an exciting opportunity for a new business to open a base in the region or an existing Doncaster-based business looking to expand.

“St. Modwen carefully considered the specifications of the units and we are confident that we will attract a strong interest for both brand new properties.”

In addition to continued investment in Parkside Business Park, St. Modwen is also progressing with plans to invest in other developments in Doncaster.

The Village at Waterdale shopping centre is currently undergoing renovation work including the completion of 24,000 sq ft of modern retail and leisure space. In addition, the final phase of development at Crompton Retail Park, including a new 10,000 sq ft Farmfoods store, is expected to be complete later this month.
