Four London startups are set to pitch to the Duke of York at St James's Palace

Tech startups and entrepreneurs will be getting another to chance to pitch their innovations to the Duke of York after the participants in the latest Pitch@Palace event were announced.

Amongst the 12 businesses taking part in the Pitch@Palace 6.0 event, four are London-based startups who impressed on a competitive boot camp pitch day on Friday 14 October.

The successful companies will now be given the opportunity to pitch their business ideas to the Duke of York along with a line-up of other investors, Chief Executives and mentors in the opulent surroundings of St James’s Palace.

3D shape searching startup 3DIndustries, content marketing firm Codec, drone risk analytics startup Flock, and sleep and power nap app Pzizz will all be pitching on the 2 November and benefit from networking and industry contacts to help them grow businesses.

While no investment cash is available on the day, the event has proven a major boon to the prospects of tech and digital startups, and was the platform where Magic Pony, which was later purchased by Twitter for $150m, met its investors.

The Duke of York commented: “The breadth of ideas and the passion of the teams behind the businesses we have met as part of Pitch@Palace 6.0 has been fantastic. From artificial intelligence to biotech developments, our nation’s start-up businesses are operating right at the cutting edge.

“The final 12 businesses stood out and now have the opportunity to pitch their business in front of some of the most influential people in the ecosystem on the 2nd November.”
