French ‘conversational commerce’ firm bringing its pool of experts to UK businesses

The European ‘conversational commerce’ business, iAdvize, is bringing its on-demand ecommerce experts to the UK after setting up headquarters in London.

Hailing from France, the business provides online brands with software and a ready pool of experts to provide real-time advice and expertise to customers via live chat functionality on their websites.

The firm, which has set up its UK headquarters in Chancery Lane, operates the service under the ibbü brand, and boasts a team of experts who are paid to share their knowledge in areas such as beauty, travel, fashion, tech, gardening and DIY.

Citing research that shows that 60% of online purchases take place in the evenings or weekends, times when the customer service team are most likely to be offline, iAdvize says its experts can help fill the breach and support customers at any time.

Julien Hervouet, Co-Founder and Chief Executive at iAdvize, believes that conversational commerce can be a way to retain customers and boost sales.

He said: “Retaining customer loyalty can be a challenging task for brands in this digital age and marketeers are continuously looking for ways to wow the customer and drive sales.

“We believe the future of marketing is conversational commerce, where brands use genuine fans to improve the customer’s experience of the brand.”

iAdvize claims that businesses that have adopted its ‘conversational commerce’ platform in its native France have increased their turnover by an average of 10%.

Meanwhile, its team of ibbü experts is drawn from an on-demand model of workers looking to top up their income in their spare time, with individuals earning on average £150 per week.

Nicolas de Rosen, Strategic Director at iAdvize, added: “Customers often have doubts when they make an online purchase. Up to 85% of online shoppers trust opinions coming from their peers more than customer service agents.

“That is why our peer-to-peer advice system is so vital for businesses. Our savvy peers are knowledgeable in their field and will always offer premium, authentic unbiased customer advice.”
