join.me integrates with Slack, HipChat, Trello and others
join.me has introduced an integration partner program that lets users initiate online meetings instantly from within a multitude of popular business productivity applications, including Slack, Atlassian’s HipChat, Trello, Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook and Office365. Now users can meet via voice or video, share their screen, and collaborate or schedule meetings without leaving their workflow, saving them precious time and accelerating their productivity. join.me has also announced a new developer API that enables application developers to put the power of join.me’s real-time collaboration into their application workflow.
“We know firsthand the power of allowing employees to use the tools and apps that work for them. By integrating join.me into apps like Slack, Atlassian’s HipChat and Trello, users can be more efficient and productive by utilising the best parts of the tools they already know and love, without stopping their workflow to get in to another app,” said Craig Daniel, VP of Product, join.me. “We’re excited to showcase these integrations as the kick off to an integration partner program that fosters collaboration in an even faster and easier way. Now join.me can be everywhere you work.”
The way people work together has changed. There are a seemingly unlimited number of tools to chat, meet, collaborate, and interact with those around us. The common measure of a tool’s success is the value that it provides to an employee to make them more efficient and productive. With the join.me integration partner program, users can instantly start, join or schedule an online meeting directly from partner applications, saving time, streamlining the process and driving productivity.
The integration partner program was designed to allow users of industry leading productivity tools to be able to seamlessly launch join.me, without interrupting their work, to instantly start screen sharing, voice, or video. For example, when working in Slack, or chatting with coworkers in Atlassian’s HipChat, users can easily inject a join.me meeting URL into the chat stream for all users in that conversation to join a meeting. Or, when managing a project plan in Trello, coworkers who need to collaborate in real-time simply enable the join.me Power-up on the Trello board to immediately start a conversation without leaving the app.
Not only is join.me making it easier than ever to get work done on the fly, but with additional integrations with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office365 and Google Calendar, join.me meetings can be scheduled well in advance by allowing users to manage meetings by syncing their calendar with join.me.
“The way people are working is clearly shifting from stand-alone planned meetings to ad-hoc collaboration that happens on the fly,” said Roopam Jain, Industry Director of Unified Communications and Collaboration at Frost & Sullivan. “The robust suite of integrations and developer tools that join.me has introduced simplifies real-time collaboration by allowing workers to quickly and easily start or schedule meetings from within a host of widely used business applications and workflow tools. Integration of video and web collaboration with key business applications enhances the context within which information is shared leading to better business outcomes and workflow enablement.”
In addition to the new showcase integrations, join.me has introduced an enhanced set of developer tools that allows developers to create their own integrations. Using APIs, developers can enable join.me to launch directly from their application to integrate meeting, scheduling and additional capabilities where it makes most sense for the user and workflow.
