Pulsant colocation services selected by Tarmin
Reading, UK – 17 October 2016 – Pulsant, leading UK provider of hybrid cloud services, has completed a deal with leading Data Defined Storage provider, Tarmin to deliver colocation services. The two-year contract will see the company making use of Pulsant’s Maidenhead datacentre facility.
The Maidenhead site is a highly secure and resilient tier ii datacentre that features 24/7 security, ISO 27001 certification and forms part of the company’s nationwide datacentre network.
“It is an exciting time for Tarmin, we are in a position of great growth and we selected Pulsant for their strong track record of operational reliability, availability, scalability and efficiency to support our increase in customer activity,” says Shahbaz Ali, President and CEO.
“Pulsant satisfies our growing need for a more scalable datacentre, while delivering compelling and reliable services, convenient connectivity into London and a broad global network. We are thrilled to be part of their datacentre and look forward to expanding our capabilities, network and taking our business to the next level.”
The Maidenhead datacentre site was upgraded in 2014 in terms of its technology, power capabilities and connectivity.
Adam Eaton, sales director, Pulsant, says: “Maidenhead already hosts a number of large-scale organisations in the IT space in its five data halls, all of whom benefited from our enhancements to our core switch network. Our customers are assured of added stability, bandwidth and faster connections. They are also able to connect directly from Maidenhead into the Equinix cloud exchange in Slough to fully utilise the density of cloud and network providers on the campus.
“For Tarmin, Maidenhead is not only an ideal location for the company’s colocation requirements, but also provides the security, connectivity and resilience demanded for high performance hosting.”
