MeWe360 to invest thousands in North’s top creative entrepreneur
An organisation that works to discover and nurture creative business talent is looking to award thousands to an entrepreneur in the North.
MeWe360, which has a satellite operation in Manchester, wants to tap into “a deep pool” of undiscovered talent amongst Northern communities with entrepreneurial aspirations that are often overlooked by investors.
The company has launched a competition, structured in three rounds, to provide up to £10k of investment to the winning entrepreneur.
In the opening round, entrants will be asked to submit an application form and short video pitch to be judged by MeWe360’s directors and board.
Round two will involve 10 shortlisted companies pitching in person at a Manchester event, following which the last three shortlisted firms will pitch to a panel in London.
The winning business is guaranteed £5,000, but MeWe360 confirmed that a further £5,000 is up for grabs if the winner wows the judging panel.
Louise Nkosi, MeWe360’s project director, said: “We’ve built a network over the last twelve months of some amazingly talented creative entrepreneurs in Manchester, we decided now is the time to take it to the next level and begin looking for those creative companies seeking the investment we’re offering through the competition and the support MeWe360 can offer.
“We’re really excited about finding the next creative entrepreneurs of the future in the North of England.”
The closing date for the first round is December 2 2016.
