£200k revamp of 13-storey Liverpool office block now underway
Office fit out contractor Cube7 Interiors has begun its extensive refurbishment of The Capital Building in Liverpool.
Formerly known as New Hall Place and the Post & Echo Building, the 390,000 sq ft office block’s overhaul will include new glazed partitioning and glass doors, to be delivered over three phases.
Phase one of the project is already complete, giving the site’s Level 0 new meeting and work areas along with individual ‘pods’ to create additional private space for work or meetings.
Cube7, which has offices in Liverpool, Wirral and Manchester, has also created a new break room with tables and open-plan booth seating.
Cube7 director Dave Loughlin said: “We are very pleased with the first phase of the project, delivered on time and within budget.
“The new office space gives the environment a very modern and professional finish.”
He continued: “When phase two and three are complete in December 2017, the office building will have benefitted from a modern upgrade which will play an important role in helping to strengthen the commercial core of Liverpool city centre.”
The 13-storey Capital Building currently houses the offices of insurance group RSA, newspaper Liverpool Echo, the Crown Commercial Service and a number of other organisations.
