Marco Pierre White to launch new cookbook

Fans of celebrity chef Marco Pierre White will have the chance to meet the man himself when he visits his recently opened restaurant Bardolino, in Congresbury, on the evening of Sunday 30 October.

Marco will be signing copies of his new cookbook ‘Essentially Marco’ which isn’t available anywhere else in the UK yet. Guests will also enjoy a three-course dinner and a glass of bubbly at the exclusive event.

‘Essentially Marco’, delivers clear-cut, fuss-free recipes for comfort food favourites and restaurant classics. Sharing cooking tricks and tips, Marco serves a feast of easy-to-make dishes, stripping away the time-consuming elements of professional cooking.

With stunning food photography by Chris Terry, the cookbook is divided into four sections: starters, fish, meat and puddings with recipes for every occasion including the classic roast dinner and a romantic supper for two.

Commenting on the book, Marco said: “The idea behind Essentially Marco is to show people that they don’t need to be a professional chef in order to create delicious and hearty dishes that can feed the whole family.

“A lot of the dishes I cover in my latest cookbook can be easily prepared at home, and guests at MPW Steakhouse Bar & Grill in Bristol will be able to experience some of these cooking techniques during my visit.”

Manager of Bardolino, Murray Whittington, said: “This is the first major event we have hosted at Bardolino since we opened back in June and we’re so excited to be putting on such an exclusive evening for our customers.

“Not only will guests enjoy a three course dinner from our a la carte menu of delicious pizza, pasta and speciality dishes, they will also have the chance to chat with Marco and have their complimentary cookbook signed.

“Bardolino is a cosy, intimate restaurant so it’s going to feel really special for our guests. We’re hoping people who haven’t had a chance to come and try us out yet, will take this opportunity to do so.”

Taking its name from the birthplace of Marco’s mother, Bardolino is the new ‘ultra-casual’ restaurant located within theclubandspa at Doubletree by Hilton, Cadbury House. Pizza and pasta are star dishes on the menu of authentic Italian food which also features specialty coffees and Bellinis.

The event is taking place on Sunday 30 October 5.30pm until 9pm with bookings being taken for two dining times – 5.30pm and 7.45pm. Tickets are £39.50 per person or £65.00 per couple. Advance booking and pre-payment is required.
