Pizza and craft beer concept debuting on Fulham Road this November
Italian pizzeria, Lievito, is to open its first UK venue on Fulham Road this November serving up pizza and traditional south west Italian dishes, alongside specialty craft beers.
Housed at 273 Fulham Road, the new venue will encompass two floors with a total floor space of 1,099 sq ft, offering 40-45 covers along with a planned casual ‘grab-and-go’ counter for those on the move.
The restaurant’s menu will also included traditional Calabrian dishes from the south west region of Italy, alongside its freshly made pizzas, and diners will also be able to purchase food items from the brand’s ‘enjoycalabria’ range.
Founded in 2013 in its native Italy, Lievito currently operates venues in Reggio and Messina, with its London restaurant set to open at the end of November.
Founder, Rocco Caridi, commented: “Our sourdough pizzas and craft beers are a departure from the usual patterns of classic pizzerias and pubs.
“Lievito is a restaurant concept with its own identity, bringing innovation and tradition together. Our bespoke mixture of wholemeal flours makes our pizzas unique and recognisable for their lightness.”
The fit out for the restaurant has been carried out by Fabrica Architecture, with work retaining many of the original features of the Sloane Stanley-owned Victorian property, including its cast iron stoves.
Hannah Grievson, Commercial Property Manager at Sloane Stanley said: “Lievito’s debut UK restaurant is an exciting addition to Fulham Road’s outstanding retail and dining offer.
“We are thrilled the brand selected this location to house their unique pizza and craft beer concept. The popularity of authentic Italian cuisine among fine-dining lovers makes them a perfect fit for Fulham Road visitors and shoppers as well as residents.”
Shackleton and Miles Commercial represented Sloane Stanley in the deal bringing Lievito to the UK, while the Italian restaurateurs represented themselves.
