Confidence rising in Merseyside property market

House builder Countryside is reporting rock-solid sales throughout Merseyside as the thirst for new homes continues to rise.

House hunters throughout the county have been bucking the trend in new home sales, with Countryside securing 45 reservations in September alone.

This follows the homebuilder’s recent partnership with Knowsley Council to develop five schemes across the borough, creating 583 homes for growing families and young professionals and includes the complete regeneration of Tower Hill in Kirkby.

Peter Vella, Sales and Marketing Director for Countryside, commented: “The housing market has remained strong despite the speculation that went hand-in-hand with Brexit. We’ve actually seen a significant increase in sales, particularly amongst first time buyers who are taking advantage of the Government’s Help to Buy scheme.

“These figures are much higher than expected for this time of year, which is extremely encouraging as we’re keen to see more young people seize the opportunity to own their own home at our upcoming developments.”

With a reputation for high quality homes, Countryside’s award winning NGV Liverpool development has seen the successful rejuvenation of Norris Green and once complete will comprise 829 new homes, 600 of which are already built and occupied.

Its Queen Mary Place site in Fazakerley has seen 100 buyers secure their new build homes since August this year. Whilst two new show villages, that are set to launch in Gateacre later this year, have already received 23 off-plan reservations since early September.
