Jamie Oliver to expand Deli and Restaurant options internationally
British chef and television personality Jamie Oliver has expanded his deli chain internationally with the announcement of the first Jamie’s Deli outside the UK at Avinor Oslo Airport, Norway.
Food and beverage operator SSP Group plc conducted the move as part of plans to bring 29 food and drink units to the airport.
SSP will also open a Jamie’s Italian restaurant next April as well as a Jamie’s Deli at Dusseldorf Airport in early 2017.
Jamie’s Deli offers plenty of healthy balanced choices as well as freshly-baked pastries and smoothies
Morten Solberg Nilsen, managing director of SSP Norway, said: “Jamie Oliver is one of the world’s best known chefs and his name is instantly recognisable here in Norway.
“This new deli, which has been specifically designed to meet the needs of the airport passenger from breakfast time to late in the evening, will be very popular with passengers at Oslo, and will be the perfect complement to the excellent range of brands SSP will be offering at this important travel location.”
Torgeir Kjos Sørensen, Commercial Director at Avinor Oslo airport, added: “We are excited to welcome Jamie Oliver to Oslo Airport.
“We are certain this will be well received, and are looking forward to further strengthening the food and beverage offer at the airport.”
