Who has the plan? Zoltar says ‘It’s Wigan!’

Following the unique HyperBrain video released in March, Wigan Council have returned to the viral video scene with their latest offering, this time starring the world famous Zoltar fortune teller, who reveals that Wigan has the plan to lead Britain into a positive future.

’Zoltar declates – Wigan Has The Plan’ is Wigan Council’s latest viral hit. The 90-second video has already achieved over 250,000 views on YouTube since it was launched on 19th October, with no sign of momentum slowing. The video was even featured on popular Facebook page ‘The Hook’, where it has also reached a staggering 150,000 views and has been shared hundreds of times.

One user on The Hook called the video ‘Brilliant’, whilst another stated ‘That’s me convinced… I’m moving to Wigan.’

The video opens with robotic fortune teller Zoltar announcing that Britain has taken some gambles following the summer’s Brexit vote, and that he would like to share his vision of the future. What follows is a series of dystopian imagery as Zoltar explains Britain’s bleak future.

‘But wait!’ announces Zoltar. ‘I used my wrong ball!’ The fortune teller then correctly reads that Britain can have a successful future, and there is one place that can help that to happen – it’s Wigan.

Wigan Council are certainly not ones to shy away from putting themselves out there. The video is a refreshing change from the post-Brexit doom and gloom which has featured prominently in the media since the referendum result was announced. Perhaps we should all take a leaf from Wigan’s book and strive to make things work.
