Stratstone BMW supports Blyth Town FC’s ‘drive’
HOME to Tyneside’s new and used BMW’s, Stratstone BMW is supporting the ambition and drive of Northern League division two team Blyth Town FC First Team, a limited company, by providing its latest branded kits in the Club’s biggest partnership deal.
Stratstone BMW, Tyneside, has contributed a substantial donation to the company which will provide new home strips and training kits for the First Team.
The top-the-the-range car experts said they were excited to enter into a partnership with a team with such ambition and drive to progress quickly up the league.
Head of business at Stratstone BMW, David Guy, said: “We are delighted to be associated with Blyth Town FC First Team. It is quite personal to us as our new car sales leader Dang Vuong is an ex-Blyth Town player having played since he was young.
“To see the investment, facilities and infrastructure that has been put into the grounds since last year is impressive and exciting.
“We hope that with our additional support and donation, we can help Blyth Town FCFT go all the way up the football pyramid and we are proud to be on that journey with them.”
Blyth Town FC First Team entered its first season this year within the Northern League after winning three consecutive victories in the Northern Alliance League. It received £500,000 of private investment late last year to improve the facilities at the home ground and progress the First Team into Northern League grade standards to be able to qualify for promotion.
Blyth Town FC First Team chairman, Barry Elliott, said: “Not only are we extremely grateful for the support Stratstone BMW has given us, we are proud to have them as a part of our extended team of support.
“Dang was in our First Team squad throughout the Northern Alliance League wins so it is great to still be able to have that connection.
“Having the association and support from an established and well respected business such as Stratstone BMW is testimony to how far the First team has come in the past year.
“Of course, we are grateful to all local businesses who are supporting us – programme sponsors, pitch sponsors and to all of Blyth Town First Team’s fans who come to the games. The growing amount of visitors to each game is very welcome and humbling and we know it will keep getting bigger and better the more the squad progresses up the league.
“As they say, the further you go, the more people notice you and come out to watch.”
