Begbies Traynor makes Stockton move

Business rescue and recovery firm Begbies Traynor has moved from its Hartlepool base to larger offices in Stockton-on-Tees.

Led by Dave Broadbent, the Teesside team includes Ian Royle, Jonathan Todd and Lorraine Mulgrew. In addition, apprentices Stephanie Breckon and Lacey Bennett joined the business in April via Middlesbrough College’s apprenticeship scheme.

The office move follows the acquisition of Broadbents Business Recovery Services by Begbies Traynor in March 2015 to complement its own operations in Teesside and York.

Dave Broadbent, partner and head of Begbies Traynor’s Teesside operation, said: “This year, we have already recruited two young people who are studying for their NVQ in Business Administration and, given our plans to continue to expand the team, these new offices will provide us with ample room for further growth.

“Our new premises is also easily accessible, benefits from plenty of free parking and is close to local solicitors and accountants, as well as being adjacent to the A66, linking with the region’s other key towns.

“Our ongoing investment in staff and premises in the region is a further demonstration of Begbies Traynor’s commitment to Teesside.

“Working closely with our offices in Newcastle and York, our Teesside operation adds to the firm’s strong presence across the North East.”
