Tottenham Hotspur announce exclusive deal with Norway’s Smartfish AS

Premier League football club Tottenham Hotspur have announced a new two year deal with Norwegian-based sports research company Smartfish AS.

The deal, which will run to the end of the 2017/18 season, will see the Norway firm become the club’s official sports nutrition drink supplier in an exclusive agreement.

Smartfish have developed a range of products that help to enhance recovery for elite athletes following intense exercise due to their mixture of fish oil and whey protein.

Its Recharge, Recharge High Protein and Lipid+ products will all be available for Spur’s club teams at their Enfield Training Centre and academy.

Following the announcement of the deal, Doctor Shabaaz Mughal, Head of Medical and Sports Science for Tottenham Hotspur, said: “We are delighted to announce this new agreement with Smartfish.

“The Club prides itself on our ability to maximise player performance in both training and matches. Recovery is just as important as any training session on the pitch and Smartfish will provide us with the best products to do that.”

Henrik Mathisen, Co-Founder of Smartfish added: “Tottenham Hotspur is one of the leading football clubs in the world and we are delighted to supply our product to not only the first team, but the academy players as well. Smartfish products will help improve their muscle recovery and assist in limiting injuries throughout the season.

“We are excited to work closely with the medical team at Spurs who lead the way in their approach to sports science.”
