Plans submitted for White City offices on BBC Media Village site
Architects Allies and Morrison have submitted plans for 100,000 sq m of offices at the emerging White City Place development in West London.
The plans include a trio of office buildings ranging from 4 storeys to 21 storeys housed on the site of the BBC Media Village, part of the White City Gateway portion of the huge 7 hectare development.
Sitting close to Stanhope’s BBC Television Centre scheme, the plans would mark the third phase of development at White City and include the Gateway Central, Gateway East and Gateway West office buildings.
The proposed Gateway Central development is an office block ranging from four to 12 storeys, encompassing 35,226 sq m of office space and retail space, featuring shops, cafes and restaurants on the ground level.
Gateway East would be the largest part of the development, featuring 63,181 sq m of offices and 2,182 sq m of retail space within its 21 storeys, while Gateway West comes in as the smallest of the three with 3,064 sq m of office space across four storeys.
If approved, the development would add to the massive redevelopment currently going on in the area which includes £8bn-worth of regeneration work over the next 15 years.
