Estate agents Greene & Co hoping to capitalise on Zone 3 demand with new branches

As Londoners of more modest means are increasingly forced to the outskirts of the city, one estate agent in the capital is looking to capitalise with two new branches in Zone 3.

North London agents Greene & Co is opening to new branches in Willesden Green and Harringay Green Lanes as Zone 3 regeneration efforts and commuting developments kick in to gear, fuelled by Crossrail’s launch next year.

According to Rightmove, current average asking prices in Zone 3 stand at £578,576, which compares favourably to current asking prices in Zone 1 (£1,192,705) and Zone 2 (£729,009) as more of the population are priced out of London’s central areas.

Both Willesden Green and Harringay Green Lanes have received cash from the London Mayors Outer London fund, a three-year programme that attempts to strengthen and grow London’s high streets and town centres.

Stephen Matthews, Group Sales Director of Greene & Co commented: “Willesden Green and Harringay Green Lanes were obvious choices in which to establish our two new branches.

“Buyers who have been priced out of zones 1 and 2 and who are looking for a community feel are spilling over into these areas, which are notable for their quality housing stock and good transport links.

“As these areas continue to increase in popularity, we’re looking forward to being able to support the community with exceptional service levels and localised knowledge about the north London property market.”

The branches bring Green & Co’s total presence in the capital up to nine sites, adding to branches in areas such as Maida Vale, Clerkenwell and Kentish Town.

Matthews added: “The opening of these two new branches significantly strengthens our already established branch network ensuring that we can offer a range of services not only to buyers moving into the area, but also those looking to move further afield to a location which we also cover.”
