Swindon builders’ merchant attracts public with modern renovation

National builders’ merchant Buildbase is opening a new contemporary kitchen and bathroom showroom on its Swindon site.

Buildbase has been located on Hawksworth Industrial Estate for around 30 years. The new showroom is the result of a five-month renovation project with a welcoming new design intended to appeal to the public as well as its typical trade customers.

The showroom will open its doors on Thursday 17 November 2016 with a special event. Kitchen and bathroom experts and manufacturers will be on hand to offer advice, with special offers, giveaways and refreshments served throughout the day.

More than 20 inspirational room sets feature alongside a fully working kitchen, specially designed for cookery demonstrations with the latest steam ovens, induction hobs and Quooker boiling water tap. Free design and planning, in-home survey service and an experienced team are also offered.

The layout of the 250m2 showroom space is designed to host displays in individual, purpose-built rooms to help customers visualise how the kitchen and bathroom furniture will look in their homes.

Showroom Manager and Swindon resident Louise Gear said: “The renovation is about creating a feeling of space and a brighter, more welcoming environment that is both trade and consumer friendly. It’s somewhere people can comfortably browse the latest kitchen and bathroom displays while getting expert advice. Lots of creative ideas have gone into the project, with a couple of wow displays that should get people talking.”

The new showroom in Swindon is part of a national renovation programme by Buildbase to combine branch expertise with leading manufacturers. The concept is designed to encourage the trade to take their customers, so they can choose for themselves from the vast range of kitchens and bathrooms.
