Buckshaw Retirement Village in Chorley announces £350k investment
Buckshaw Retirement Village in Chorley has reached a new investment milestone and revealed plans to improve its facilities further.
The site’s management team has confirmed that £350k has been ploughed into improving the village over the last 12 months.
The cash was spent on Buckshaw’s extensive gardens and landscaping, along with its rooms and leisure and wellness space.
Additional refurbishments are now being made at its assisted living environment The Grange in a bid to bring an enhanced luxury quality to some of the studio and one-bed apartments.
Further improvements are also being made within The Lodge, the village’s on-site dementia care centre.
Buckshaw Retirement Village is made up of three living communities – The Grange, The Lodge and The Court, a privately owned independent living scheme.
Buckshaw director Phil Hill said: “Buckshaw is one of the leading retirement villages in the North West and it’s important that we maintain the quality of living spaces and constantly review and enhance other associated facilities, whether that’s our gym or bistro.
“We have a small number of vacant studios and apartments within The Grange so have been using this time to spruce up these properties.”
Buckshaw forms part of The Hica Group, a not-for-profit organisation operating a portfolio of 20 residential care homes.
