Landmark for Sale Builder’s Listings Site
A WEBSITE set up by a Sale builder to help local people find trustworthy tradesmen is celebrating its 100th listing.
Meandmymates.com was thought-up by dad-of-two Dominic Kent, from Sale Moor, after customers kept asking him to recommend people they could trust.
The idea has proved such a hit that as well as tradespeople it now lists a whole host of services from yoga and zumba to bars and restaurants – all located within the Sale area.
Dominic, said: “The idea behind meandmymates.com was simple – I wouldn’t have anyone on there who I wouldn’t happily recommend to my own mum.
“It started off with my immediate friends and colleagues, but as more people wanted to register on the site I made sure I visited every single one and checked their references.
“It’s a time-consuming process, but I want it to be a place where great local people can find great local businesses.
“To reach 100 listings is a fabulous achievement which I never dreamed of when I first started meandmymates.com two years ago.”
As well as reaching the landmark number, Dominic soon plans to announce a dedicated Meandmymates.com for residents and businesses in Altrincham.
He says: “I am in talks with a brilliant guy who will be able to do in Altrincham what I have done in Sale, he’s got loads of great mates who do great work too.
“It’s incredibly important to have the right person, because we are all about trust and only listing people who do really good work.”
