St. James’s Place Academy's Fourth Women in Business Event
St. James’s Place Academy, the training and development arm of the FTSE100 wealth management company, will be hosting its successful women in business event for the fourth year running.
The Inspiring Women event is designed to motivate, inspire, connect and celebrate women in business. It will take place on 23rd November this year and will provide attendees with an opportunity to meet Academy graduates who now lead their own successful businesses, and also to learn about what the wealth management programme entails.
The proceedings will be hosted by Baroness Patience Wheatcroft, Non-Executive Director at St. James’s Place Wealth Management, who will introduce herself and St. James’s Place and talk through her role as a senior woman in politics and finance.
Recent research carried out by St. James’s Place highlighted the fact that 73% of women would like the freedom to run their own business one day. Half of respondents (52%) thought that having more control/setting their own hours would be the most attractive aspect of this model, with a further 20% thinking that they would achieve greater job satisfaction as a result.
Adrian Batchelor, Academy Director at St. James’s Place Academy, commented:
“We are confident those attending this event will be inspired by the stories of the graduates who took the brave decision to change career, and are now reaping the benefits of working for themselves, with the support of St. James’s Place Wealth Management.
“For those considering a career change, this event is the perfect opportunity to ask questions, and meet graduates who were grappling with a similar decision not so long ago.”
