Beech Holdings to create 53 apartments on newly acquired Manchester city centre site
Beech Holdings, the residential low carbon property developer, has acquired a plot of land in Manchester city centre, which will house 53 new apartments.
The ‘Deansgate South’ scheme, on the corner of Deansgate and Chester Road in Castlefield, will be completed by the end of 2018.
Beech Holdings’ Stephen Beech said: “Deansgate South is special to us for two reasons: first, it is a major gateway site, regenerating one of the main arterial routes into the city.
“Second, from a purely technical point of view, Deansgate South has a unique shape, which is rare to find anywhere else in Manchester. We look forward to delivering great things from it.”
Beech Holdings bought the plot from a private investor who had previously been granted planning permission to build a 13-storey building and a ground floor commercial unit earlier in 2016.
Beech Holdings, which owns £65m of residential housing stock in Greater Manchester, including several city centre buildings and another 120 properties in the region, confirmed that clearance work has started on site and the scheme will go-ahead as approved by planners.
