Actavo | Building Solutions donates £1,000 to school
Following the completion of building works at Redland Green School, Actavo | Building Solutions has donated £1,000 towards its fund to buy much-needed equipment this new school year.
As part of Actavo | Building Solutions’ commitment to its projects and clients, the company presented the secondary school with the £1,000 gift at a ceremony held at the school on 22 September 2016.
Working with on-site contractor Skanska, Actavo | Building Solutions designed and delivered a three-storey, classroom complex to Redland Green School in Bristol. The project was completed in June 2016 with the new facility comprising eight classrooms, two multi-use rooms, which can be used as classrooms when required, and toilets, to create space for an additional 135 pupils.
Sarah Baker, head teacher at Redland Green School, says: “As well as providing us with a brand-new classroom complex we can be proud of, Actavo | Building Solutions has also donated £1,000 to the school. We’re currently deciding on how best to spend it.
“Our pupils are so pleased with their new facility and the building was delivered quickly with minimal disruption to our day-to-day schooling activities.”
Matthew Goff, UK operations director at Actavo | Building Solutions, says: “As part of our legacy, we aim to provide each of our projects with a small donation whether that be monetary, furniture or equipment.
“Leaving a legacy is the thoroughly decent thing any builder should do and we’re delighted how Redland Green School is deliberating on how to spend £1,000 to make the biggest difference. For it to be meaningful, success has to be shared.”
