Direct Food Ingredients Launches New Product Range
Macclesfield-based food, nutritional and sports ingredients distributor Direct Food Ingredients took to the water to host a launch party for its new highly innovative own brand product range Blue Diamond.
Customers and suppliers recently toasted the new landmark range aboard a Direct Food Ingredients chartered pleasure yacht in Canary Wharf, London.
Set to take the international ingredients market by storm, after a very successful pilot with a few select products, Blue Diamond will deliver for its manufacturing distributors throughout Europe and North America, a 70-strong branded product range, with a full audit trail comprising stringent factory audits and accreditations by GMP, ISO, BRC and HACCP. Kosher and Halal certificates will be available for all relevant products.
Direct Food Ingredients also showcased their unique low carb, high protein, high fibre, microwavable muffin which was designed in house by Direct Food Ingredients NPD team.

Blue Diamond will initially launch with a small selection of products including: Mono Sodium Glutamate (MSG), Potassium Sorbate, Sorbic Acid, Xanthan Gum, Citric Acid Monohydrate, Citric Acid Anhydrous, Tri Sodium Citrate, Micro Crystalline Cellulose (MCC), Pea Protein, Creatine, Dextrose Monohydrate and Maltodextrin , increasing to 30 products by March next year, and to 70 products by the end of 2017.
The full Blue Diamond range will encompass most ingredient groups: Gums & Stabilisers, Artificial and Natural Sweeteners, Vitamins, Amino Acids, Preservatives and Acidulants
With major distribution throughout the UK, and an expanding client base in the US with the recent launch of its second site in California, Direct Food Ingredients is an established leader in the importation, storage and distribution of functional foods, nutritional and sports ingredients as well as vitamin and mineral premixes.
Direct Food Ingredients is on target to reach a record £16m turnover by year end (31 December). This represents £2.3 million up on last year, and showing significant growth across the last two years (the company achieved £9.057million turnover in 2014).
