Cirba boosts analytics for Densify.com
Cirba has announced the addition of cloud migration analytics and cloud cost optimisation analytics solutions to its SaaS solution, Densify.com. The new capabilities claim to enable the fastest and smartest path to public cloud, while providing complete visibility and control over costs.
“Densify.com now provides the easiest and fastest way to determine which enterprise applications can and should migrate to public cloud. And no other solution ensures that move will be as cost efficient and as low risk as Densify.com. Densify.com leverages Cirba’s best-of-breed analytics that set the industry standard in planning enterprise scale cloud transformations for Fortune 500 companies and global services providers,” said Gerry Smith, CEO of Cirba.
Cloud Migration Analytics enable organisations to migrate enterprise applications to public clouds faster, with less risk and lower cost. The solution includes expert insight from specialised transformation advisors and provides a detailed transformation plan that ensures every workload gets exactly the right kind of infrastructure resources in the right amount, without waste. The solution assesses enterprise applications running on VMware or PowerVM on AIX infrastructure for suitability to move to public clouds including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and IBM SoftLayer according to compliance, regulatory, security, utilisation and other technical requirements.
It also provides the ability to compare catalog-based IaaS with public bare metal hosting solutions, such as VMware running on SoftLayer or the upcoming VMware on AWS solution.
“Too often we hear stories of an organisation getting sticker shock when its public cloud invoice comes in the door and costs have spiraled out of control. By using Densify.com’s Cloud Cost Optimisation Analytics, our customers will get a predictive view of exactly what their workloads will need in the cloud, based on their actual demand patterns, eliminating these surprises while ensuring costs are as low as possible,” said Gerry Smith, CEO of Cirba.
The new capabilities will be available in Q1 2017.
