A move before Christmas is still possible

Homebuyers thinking of moving into their dream home before Christmas are being urged to visit one of the many developments being built across Wiltshire.

Persimmon Homes are offering a range of schemes to ensure any move before Christmas doesn’t have to be a stressful one.

“People think it is too late to move into a new home before Christmas, but I’d like to assure them that there is still plenty of time,” said Pauline Fletcher, sales and marketing director for Persimmon Homes Wessex. “By reserving now they could be settled in time for the holiday season and look forward to spending some quality time together with their family and friends.”

With increased confidence in the market and interest rates continuing to be at their lowest level for years, there has never been a better time to buy a new home.

“We’ve seen a large rise in demand for new homes,” continued Pauline. “This is a sign that more people are not only more confident about making a move, but they’ve been able to secure the necessary finance too.

“My message to anyone looking to move before Christmas is to get their paperwork in order. By sorting out your payslips, bank statements and employment contracts in plenty of time you can speed up your mortgage application and look forward to a quick move.”

There are many Christmas incentives being offered by Persimmon Homes across Wiltshire in Swindon, Trowbridge, Burbage, Royal Wootton Basset, Salisbury and Amesbury. Incentives include the Government backed Help to Buy scheme.

Under the scheme buyers only need a five per cent deposit to secure a mortgage valued at 75 per cent of the property value. The builder also offers part exchange, buying your home after independent valuations so you can move chain-free.

Pauline says: “With the process in some cases taking as little as four weeks, we can help take the hassle out of what can be a stressful time of the year and have you moved in and settled in time for Christmas.”
