Oldham O2 franchise owner creates 16 new jobs following expansion
MID Communications, an Oldham-based O2 franchise owner, has embarked on a significant North West expansion drive after securing a seven figure funding package.
The firm, which was founded in 2006, has acquired six new sites across Merseyside and Greater Manchester, creating 16 new jobs after a £4.15m funding package from HSBC.
The funding has also allowed MID to double the size of its Oldham headquarters to 6,000 sq ft as it looks to support and develop its 16-strong portfolio of sites across the North West.
Danny Simpson, Sales Director at MID Communications, commented: “This is an exciting time for the business and our success has only been made possible by striving to achieve an ambitious growth strategy.
“HSBC’s financial support has enabled us to enter new markets, expand our capacity and welcome new staff to the business.”
Following the expansion the business is now hoping to increase its turnover by over 80%, with the new stores predicted to boost revenue to near £20m for the next financial year.
Jason Trigg, HSBC’s Area Director in Greater Manchester for Mid-market Enterprise, added: “MID Communications is a fine example of a successful North West business and we are proud that our funding has allowed the business to grow and become the largest franchise of its kind in the North West of England.”
