Hope St Xchange, a centre for Enterprise and Innovation

Excitement is mounting around the launch of Hope St Xchange, a contemporary workspace for a new community of innovation led businesses in the centre of Sunderland.

Due to open early 2017, Hope Street Xchange is a meeting of old and new, renovating the iconic Grade II listed swan building and tastefully pairing it with a state of the art expansion designed by GSS Architecture, the firm behind the award-winning Attenborough arts centre.

Offering 3,500spm of floor space, with 30 offices and 7 workshops, the state of the art building is exquisitely designed and features artwork from world renowned artist Lothar Goetz whose innovative mural will be the centrepiece for the building. Hope Street Xchange will also feature fantastic conference and events spaces, FabLab Sunderland and the Enterprise Place which nurtures student and graduate entrepreneurs.

Hope Street Xchange is led by University of Sunderland and could be your front door to rich new collaboration opportunities. We are here to connect enterprise with innovation and provide the best environment for firms working at the intersection of knowledge sectors.

Rebecca Robinson, Hope Street Xchange Manager said, “We’re so excited about the imminent opening of this new venture and can’t wait to welcome our new community on opening day. We want Hope Street Xchange to be a vibrant and collaborative environment for businesses, both fledgling and long-established, to evolve and grow together.”

Be a part of the Xchange, a meeting of old and new and a crossing point between the main University campus and the city centre.
