Doncaster Business Has a Bumper Fundraising Year
A company which has the protection of people and places at the very heart of its business ethos has gone one step further, with a bumper charity fundraising year.
The team at Intastop Ltd, in Doncaster, have taken part in a number of local and national charity initiatives throughout 2016 - some of which have been fairly straightforward like bake sales to one which was more challenging – climbing the Yorkshire Three Peaks.
“It is so important to do things which support those that may be less fortunate and our fantastic team of people have really got behind our efforts this year all joining in and making their own special contribution in some way,” said Marie Hanby, marketing manager. “The Yorkshire Three Peaks was definitely the most challenging but perhaps also the most rewarding for those of us that took part.”
During the year the team has supported events held by Hallam FM and its Cash for Kids fundraiser, Doncaster charities Eve’s Trust and Laurie Jay Balfour and national events such as Jeans for Genes, Breast Cancer Awareness and Children in Need.
“We look forward to ending the year on a high and showing our support for Hallam FM Cash for Kids Mission Christmas by donating £1,000, holding a Christmas Bake Off, Christmas Jumper Day and our annual raffle to win an amazing Christmas Hamper,” said Marie. “And to lend a helping hand, not just in monetary terms, five of our team have volunteered to help with the present sorting at Hallam FM as it distributes gifts to children across South Yorkshire.”
By the end of 2016 it is anticipated that the team will exceed £2,500 from this year’s fundraising activities.
Marie concluded; “We have had a lot of fun raising this money and already have our thinking caps on as to what our challenge could be for next year. Thanks go to all our team, friends, family and customers for their generosity and for the time and effort they give to supporting these worthwhile causes.”
