Hull-based MKM Building Supplies creates 14 jobs with south Manchester opening
MKM Building Supplies has delivered more than a dozen employment opportunities in Sharston, south Manchester, with the launch of its 46th branch.
The Hull-headquartered builders’ merchant created 14 jobs at its new site on Altrincham Road, which houses its full portfolio of services and products covering building, joinery, plumbing, heating and insulation.
The store also has a team of design staff on hand for customers interested in MKM’s kitchen and bathroom showrooms.
Paul Thomason, the new store’s branch director, said: “We’ve assembled a top-class team in Sharston who cannot wait to welcome the public and building trade.”
Co-branch director Mark Fairbanks commented: “Paul and I are proud to have the opportunity to show those in Sharston and the surrounding area why MKM has its award-winning reputation for customer service excellence and extensive product range.”
MKM is expanding nationally as part of its ongoing growth strategy, having opened stores in the Galashiels area of Scotland and Honiton, Devon in recent weeks.
