Newcastle e-commerce startup to grow team following ‘great way to end the year’
Newcastle-based e-commerce and digital marketing startup Venture Stream has revealed plans to double in size over the next 12 months, after winning a number of new clients.
Founded just two years ago, following support from Northstar Ventures and Rivers Capital, the business has secured three new contracts in December alone.
Growing revenues by 60% in the last 12 months, the fast growing firm has landed work to build bespoke ecommerce websites for florist and craft supplier Smithers Oasis, fashion brand Lily Ella and electrical and lighting wholesalers Park Electrical.
Specialising in ecommerce, the agency works with brands and retailers including Barbour, Planet Organic, Yogamatters and the Edinburgh Bicycle Co-operative.
With its client roster growing, Venture Stream has appointed four members of staff in the past nine months and is continuing its recruitment drive, currently advertising three new positions on its website.
The agency’s latest project, the development and launch of yogamatters.com, has been nominated as ‘Best Ecommerce Website’ at the Northern Digital Awards.
The awards are in their third year and recognise the very best in digital campaigns, e-tailing, website development and talent in the North.
Managing Director at Venture Stream, Vic Morgan, commented: “To welcome so many clients on board and have our work recognised by such a prestigious regional award for our industry is a great way to end the year.
“We’re already looking ahead to 2017 as we continue to grow the business and our team of experts.”
