Time Out has revealed its most glamorous food market yet
Media and ecommerce business Time Out has revealed the next destination in its growing network of global food markets.
The London-headquartered firm has signed a conditional lease agreement pending planning permission for a new Time Out Market in Miami South Beach, adding to its current Lisbon and upcoming London and Porto markets.
Located at 1601 Drexel Avenue, just off Miami Beach’s premier shopping district at Lincoln Road, the 17,200 sq ft will house 320 indoor and 120 outdoor seats serving up a curated mix of 20 local food and drink options along with a cultural space.
Building on its successful market concept in Lisbon, which launched in 2014, the venue will provide a showcase for local Miami eateries and local businesses, and provide employment and cultural benefits to the city.
Julio Bruno, Chief Executive Officer of Time Out Group, commented: “Rolling out Time Out Market globally is a key element of our growth strategy and I’m delighted that we have found an absolute top location with high footfall in Miami South Beach for our first-time market entry into the US.
“Time Out Market in Lisbon is incredibly successful; it’s profitable and popular with both locals and visitors. Adding Porto, London and Miami to this portfolio is a major milestone and proof of our ambition.
“The Time Out brand, its audience and reach are rapidly growing in the US as we expand our digital, social, mobile and print presence; it’s the perfect moment to open Time Out Market in Miami South Beach.”
Time Out hopes to open the new market by early 2018 and will follow the opening of its Shoreditch market which is set to open in the second half of 2017.
