Applications like Mail require JavaScript to run, which may not correctly deliver in out-of-date web browsers. All of the modern browsers push updates automatically to the PC once you launch them, but you can still go to the browser’s website to make sure the version you’re using is up-to-date, and compatible one with your PC.

Method #2: Add Yahoo As a trusted Site on the Browser

This is one of the solutions you can try to fix the issue. You just need to add your Yahoo website as a trustworthy site in your browser which you’re using. If you use Internet Explorer browser, you can add trusted site through the “Internet Options” menu on the “Security,” and then click on the ‘Trusted Sites,’ followed by the ‘Sites.’ While using Chrome, you need to input ‘Sites’ into the search bar and then click on the ‘Content Settings’ to change which content and cookies are acceptable. Using Firefox, click on the Firefox menu, and then ‘Options’ and the Security tab. Enter in the URL for Yahoo Messenger to access it.

Method #3: Set a new rule to Windows Firewall that will let you access Yahoo Messenger. Sometimes, the Firewall security blocks the third-party programs by default to prevent potential risks. Click the Start menu and then enter ‘Firewall’ into the search bar. Click on the Windows Firewall, and then ‘Outbound Rules’ button, followed by the ‘New Rule’ to add Yahoo Messenger as an accepted program. Add a custom control that lets the file path for Messenger access the web by clicking on the ‘Browse’ option, and then double-clicking on the ‘.exe’ file.

Method #4: Turn off any proxies

If you’re using any proxies to protect your office network from external virus infection, then turn it off and move to public browsing techniques.
