Pathways 4 All take on the Laser Tag Challenge
Pathways4All, the North East, Parent Led charity got their Christmas activities off to a very competitive start with an action-packed evening at Battlezone Laser last week.
Around 30 children, young adults and carers competed against each other in two teams in Battlezone Laser’s unique Laser Tag arena.
Susan Fenwick, Operations Manager at Battlezone Laser said, “We found out about Pathways4All through our friends at Capital Radio who support the charity and when they suggested we might be able to help with an event we jumped at the chance to welcome them here to play.”
“They have been absolutely brilliant. I can tell you the staff had as much fun as the players tonight”
Pathways4All aim to provide places for children to play and opportunities to socialise with their friends. For some children with disabilities & additional needs though, accessing community facilities can prove challenging and sometimes impossible.
Arena marshall on the evening James explained why Battlezone Laser is an ideal place for the Pathways4All visitors. He said “the thing about our arena is that everyone is equal, kids against adults, people who can move around fast or slow, people who maybe need a hand firing their gun – there are so many places to hide, so many different tactics – anyone can win. And these guys tonight have been amazing!”
Deborah Frazer from the Pathways4all charity said after the event. “All the way home our young people were raving about their visit. Your staff were fantastic and offered opportunities to meet the needs of each and every individual who attended Battlezone Laser. We honestly feel that we can’t thank you all enough for providing such a fantastic experience for our teenagers.”
