£1.2m trampoline park in Hartlepool to create 40 new jobs

Jump 360, the North East-based trampoline park, is set to open a new £1.2m venue in Hartlepool towards the end of January 2017.

The Hartlepool branch, located at Sovereign Park near the Tees Bay Retail Park, is the second Jump 360 venue in the region and will create 40 new jobs.

The new, 30,000 sq. ft indoor trampoline park is set to feature giant foam pits, dodgeball courts and basketball slam-dunk lanes alongside a brand-new overhang rock-climbing activity.

The newest addition to the Fun Shack Group portfolio will also include foam pit slides, rope ladders, log rolls and Aero Ball as well as a dedicated area where Under 5s can bounce safely. This special area for little bouncers includes a toddler area and soft play frame.

Owned by brothers Craig and Stuart, alongside their partners Andrea and Georgette, the Fun Shack Group currently employs 110 people across the company, all based in the North East.

Recruitment is underway for a variety of full and part-time positions including managerial and front of house roles.

Stuart Freeman, director at the Fun Shack Group, said: “We are thrilled to be launching a second Jump 360 venue in the North East. This is an exciting opportunity to develop our brand and bring some great new features to the Jump 360 experience.

“This is the second of seven new parks we have planned for the North East over the next two years and we are proud to be able to contribute to the regeneration of the North East while providing a fun and exhilarating day out in Hartlepool.”

As well as the new activities on offer, Jump 360 Hartlepool will also feature fitness classes, general bounce sessions and Jump Junior, where toddlers can take to the air for the first time.

Jump Support, the park’s sessions for customers with additional needs, will also continue as part of the new development.

Director Craig Freeman added: “We recognise the importance of helping the local communities that we operate in, acknowledging that the business would not exist without them. We support local charities, causes and oraganisations wherever possible.”

The Fun Shack Group has also submitted plans for a new £2.5m trampoline and children’s play centre in the east end of Newcastle.
