Apogee caps off 2016 acquisition drive with London document services firm
Digital document services business Apogee Corporation has closed its acquisition streak for the year after completing the bolt on acquisition of CityDocs.
The firm, which is backed by Equistone Partners Europe, has completed a raft of acquisitions this year in Scotland, Wales, Ireland and Germany as it expands across the UK and Europe.
This latest deal will see London and Manchester-based CityDocs, which provides digital document scanning, processing and hosting services, become part of the Apogee Group along with its visual communication firm Willow Graphics.
Since its foundation in 1999, the CityDocs has developed a significant reputation in the City for its legal document services operation, offering forensic technology to London-based legal firms and chambers.
Following the acquisition, Peter Lawson, CityDocs’ Managing Director, commented: “I’m very proud of what the team at CityDocs have achieved.
“We have built a great services-focussed company and such good relationships with so many of our clients, we have become the partner they can rely upon. Now it’s time to take what we have to the next level with Apogee.”
Jason Collins, Apogee Joint CEO, added: “CityDocs has a fantastic reputation for secure, responsive and expert specialist services all around the digital or paper document and this is perfectly in line with Apogee’s strategy.
“The quality of service and the 24/7 capabilities the CityDocs operations have to support clients is really impressive, and the new eDisclosure technology is clearly the way forward for all professional services, not just legal.
“This is a terrific business that Peter Lawson and his team have built and I’m very excited about how we can develop the business further now it is part of the Apogee group.”
