Costain confirmed for new TfL £500m projects framework
Engineering firm Costain has secured a place on a major new construction framework for the Transport for London (TfL).
The £500m Major Projects Framework encompasses the delivery, upgrade and maintenance of TfL’s vast network of bridges, tunnels and highways across the capital.
Launched in June, the four-year framework will task three suppliers, of which Costain is the first to be confirmed, for a range of complex projects and has the potential to be extended for a further two years.
Andrew Wyllie, Chief Executive of Costain hailed his firm’s ‘strong track record’ of project work with TfL, which recently included work on strengthening the Hammersmith Flyover on a previous construction framework for the transport body.
He said: “We are delighted that TfL has again chosen Costain as a delivery partner for the Major Projects Framework. It is a reflection of our strong track record in applying innovative techniques in highways.”
