New deal results in full house for Leeds manufacturing and distribution site Stourton Link
Hugh Steeper, the supplier of artificial limbs, specialist footwear, braces and supports and assistive technology to the healthcare industry, has taken space at Unit 3 Stourton Link.
The completion of this deal by GVA, the real estate advisory business, means that the has the Leeds manufacturing and distribution site is now fully occupied.
The letting will see Hugh Steeper, which is relocating and consolidating from nearby premises, undertake a fit-out of the 52,000 sq ft facility on a 10 year lease.
The unit was built speculatively in 2005 and had previously been occupied by Leeds College of Building. It was refurbished by RLAM following the college’s departure.
The deal with Hugh Steeper follows the letting of the adjacent Unit 4, which is 36,000 sq ft and was taken by Troy Foods.
Unit 4 was previously occupied by Robert Horne Paper. Following its departure, the unit was also refurbished by RLAM to ensure it fully met occupiers’ expectations.
RLAM owns both units, along with the larger unit to the rear of the estate which is occupied by SIG.
James Orr, senior fund manager at RLAM, said: “We aim to invest in high quality facilities throughout the UK. With both units, we were confident that if we undertook the right refurbishment works, the units would let to good quality tenants.
“We are pleased both occupiers chose our estate and hope they have a long and successful period with us.”
Rob Oliver, director at the Yorkshire office of GVA, who marketed the units and negotiated both deals, added: “This estate is very well connected for local road and motorway access, and the units are built to modern standards and specifications.
“With the stock shortages in the market continuing, we spoke to a wide range of occupiers about these units, and were pleased to secure good lettings to both RSL Steeper and Troy Foods.”
Hugh Steeper was represented by Knight Frank and Troy Foods by DJS Surveyors.
