FASTSIGNS Global CEO Flies Into Islington

FASTSIGNS’ Islington centre has received a visit from the company’s global CEO.

Catherine Monson flew in from the USA to meet the team at the signs and graphics specialist on Caledonian Road as part of a tour of the UK’s top performing FASTSIGNS centres.

During the visit, Catherine heard from owner Shahzad Ahmad about the growth of his business since becoming a FASTSIGN’S franchisee in 2015 and securing projects with the likes of Hitachi and JCB.

Commenting on the visit, Catherine said:

“Shahzad and the team at Islington are doing an amazing job and it’s great to see how well they have performed in their first year of trading. As one of the newer members of the FASTSIGNS family here in the UK, I haven’t had the pleasure of visiting this franchise before. Shahzad and his team are passionate, engaged and enthusiastic so it’s no surprise that things are going so well and that they attract such big name customers.

“I see part of my role as acting as a coach and mentor and it’s so rewarding to see that Shahzad is getting a lot of help and support from my team here in the UK, and that together they are taking his business to the next level. I’m genuinely excited to see how it progresses.”

Shahzad Ahmad, owner of FASTSIGNS Islington added:

My family operates a number of franchises, so it was incredible to be shown this level support by the CEO of FASTSIGNS, we were really excited to welcome Catherine to our centre. We spent a lot of time reflecting on our first year, how we plan to develop the business and our ambition to become more involved in the local community in 2017.

“Catherine’s spent over 30 years in franchising and also the signage, graphics and visual communications sector so has a great deal of knowledge and experience to share. I know the whole team really benefited from the time they spent with her.”

Catherine was joined on the visit by John Davies, Managing Director of FASTSIGNS UK.

Islington is one of 650 FASTSIGNS centres in nine countries, including US, Canada, UK, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Grand Cayman, Mexico and Australia.
