Institute of Directors to kick-start 2017 at business drinks event

The Institute of Directors (IoD) North Wales is to start the new year with an evening of networking at one of Llandudno’s boutique hotels.

The drinks event, on Thursday 19 January at the Llandudno Bay Hotel, is the IoD’s annual informal meeting for businesspeople, and the second year running it’s being held at the hotel.

Non-members of the IoD are encouraged to attend to learn more about the organisation’s work supporting business in North Wales.

Anyone wishing to find out more about joining the committee will also be able to ask questions on the night.

Llandudno Bay Hotel underwent a £6m refurbishment in 2015 and quickly became a popular choice in the area. It has also established itself as a trusted hotel, with review site Trip Advisor ranking it in the top 20 in the area based on customer feedback.

IoD North Wales chair, and head of employment law at Chester-based law firm Aaron & Partners, Helen Watson said: “The annual IoD North Wales new year’s drinks is always a fantastic evening to kick-start the region’s business events calendar.

“We’re thrilled to be holding it again at the Llandudno Bay Hotel and look forward to meeting members and non-members on the night.

“We have a varied schedule of events planned for 2017 and I’m confident the January drinks evening will be the first of many successful IoD gatherings this year.”

Champagne and canapés will be provided for the event, taking place in the Llandudno Bay Hotel’s champagne bar. The event runs from 5.30pm to 7.30pm and costs £12.50 plus VAT for members and £17.50 plus VAT for non-members.

To book, contact Debbie Trotman on 02920 389 990 or email iod.wales@iod.com.
