Oldham business launches revolutionary tax app; Go Simple
With 1944 people filing their self assessment tax returns on Christmas Day*, Go SimpleTax have made it even easier to sort your tax affairs with their brand new smartphone app.
Oldham based GoSimple Software has launched a unique cloud and smartphone app, that provides the easiest and quickest way for thousands of self-employed to process their tax returns.
In line with HMRC’s Making Tax Digital (MTD) reforms, GoSimple, a market leader in cloud tax and accounting solutions aims to transform the tax return market with the FIRST HMRC recognised app that is available across all devices which will fight the corner of the hardworking tax payer.
Launching in January, the app will be available to nearly 20 million people who file a tax return every year, from just £18 per tax return.
The app is designed to save time, energy and money and offers a tailored experience to each user, making personalised recommendations on tax savings users qualify for. It also takes away the need for an accountant, removing an extra expense, with users able to complete tax returns themselves for a set fee.
Gearing up for the launch, Managing Director, Amanda Swales, commented: “HMRC’s Making Tax Digital reforms has left a gap in the market for a well designed, software tool to offer users a simple tax return experience that they can undertake anywhere in the world. We want to challenge the stereotype that tax is too complex for those with no financial background, and by leveraging the power of technology and years of tax experience, we’ve created a simple to use online service that empowers regular people, like us, to understand exactly why we’re paying tax and find ways to save money on our tax bill.
“Designed by our expert technical team, our smartphone software will ensure individuals have access to an affordable, easy-to-use and jargon free returns process. Lots of other products in the market use complex tax terminology, whereas we make ours as simple as possible, providing intuitive help and advice throughout the journey.”
The vision outlined by the government will see HMRC become one of the most digitally-advanced tax administrations in the world by 2020. GoSimple runs hundreds of error checks on your tax return as you go, meaning for those who take the leap to digital tax returns, will have peace of mind that no mistakes are made.
