What Can Be the Perfect Content Strategy for Your Business?

Running a business is quite difficult, and constantly worrying about different aspects of it can be an even more challenging task, and one of the most overlooked things is content marketing. In short, we can define content marketing as a strategic marketing effort where you create, and distribute via social networks, including your own website, content that is relevant, and valuable to your visitors – the goal being to convert a visitor into a perspective buyer.

Is there such thing as a perfect content strategy? Of course not, it is quite unique for each and every business, and what might work for your competitors might be totally off for you. There is another question that is often asked: “How expensive is this?” Well, it also depends on your needs, and what you want to achieve.

There are many companies that dedicate a whole lot of money to creative teams that are designated to creating engaging content, and there are those that think outsourcing on freelancing websites is the way to go. Both of these approaches can be good if applied successfully, but it still leaves some questions unanswered.

What does my audience want?

You should probably have figured out what your audience is by now. You can simply deduce this from the social network you use most often, and the metrics of people that visit your website. The general advice is to spread your influence everywhere, but focus mostly on those parts where you get most engagement on.

If you rock on Twitter but have a low response on Facebook you know what to do – focus more on Twitter, but adjust your strategy on Facebook, and try something new. Try and think about what your company does best, and the kind of people you have working for you, maybe something like videos or memes come naturally for you, which can prove to be a great, and cheap source of content for your company.

Planning is almost as important as content**!**

Great content posted at a wrong time is wasted. This does not only apply to times of day when literally everyone is sleeping, but also when some things just do not add up. Think of it this way – if you’re promoting beer, or fast food, the best moment for that is during sporting events, not during the holidays when the emphasis is put on family gatherings.

Technology, on the other hand, always has an increase in sales in September (when kids start school) and in December (Christmas is the ultimate holiday for marketing). Adjust your plan accordingly and measure your results.

Ask for advice and, in the end, read some of the search engine optimization company reviews and choose a business that can help yours, after all, they will offer the best and most efficient solution for you and your needs. You can quickly talk to someone who has more experience than you – which is always a good thing.

How often and how much?

If you are planning on opening a blog, a common questions is how often and how much you should write. The most common suggestion is that your blog posts be around 500 words. This offers you enough space to express your opinions without having to crumble everything up and make it unreadable. When it comes to frequency, it is best to create a timetable and stick to it. Post every Monday, whatever you choose is good, but make sure to never skip a date – you want to make sure that your readers know when to expect your next post.

Another important thing is that you need to include visual data such as images and videos as much as you can. Those flow naturally, and require very little engagement from visitors – but make sure not to overload them with information.

All of this is extremely important to take into consideration when creating a content strategy for your business. Even posting on YouTube and totally avoiding anything written can be a good model, and especially successful on platforms such as Facebook. Any way that you can reach your audience is a good way, and it is your job to find something that is interesting and efficient, both for you and for your end consumer.
