Housebuilder contributes over £230,000 to projects in Pontefract
Local housebuilder, Barratt Homes Yorkshire West, is to donate over £230,000 to support local projects and community improvements in Pontefract as part of its upcoming Ashmeade Park development.
The contributions will be put towards facilities close to its Cobblers Lane site. The funding includes £78,640 going towards local road and highway improvements, as well as £155,547 going towards education provisions.
The funding highlights the developer’s commitment to investing in the local communities where it builds. Ashmeade Park, which follows the success of Barratt Homes’ Oaklands development in Pontefract, will be delivered across 11 acres of land, delivering 160 news homes to meet the continuing demand for good quality homes in this area of West Yorkshire.
David Coe, Development Director at David Wilson Homes Yorkshire West, commented:
“As well as building new homes, it’s our aim to also support and enhance local communities, so we hope these contributions will go a long way towards improving the lives of people who live in Pontefract, along with those who become residents at our upcoming development. We are excited to see the new development taking shape over the coming months and to deliver new homes in Pontefract following the success of the Oaklands development.”
The new site, Ashmeade Park, will be delivered across 11 acres of land on the western side of the market town making a range of two, three and four bedroom homes available in the area.
