Hutcheon Construction Completes Two National Contracts Worth £1.2m
Chester-based Hutcheon Construction has announced the completion of two projects at The Sovereign Centre in Weston Super Mare and at Cheshire Oaks.
The contractor has completed a £0.5million project for Vixcroft, which involved the transformation of the food court into six new outlets, available to let and each with its own bespoke design. Working with Weir and Associates and Barber Design Architects, the build lasted six weeks, all of which was carried out during the centre’s peak trading season.
In a separate project, Hutcheon Construction has completed the fit out of the ground floor of International House at Cheshire Oaks for Prospect GB and is now underway with the refurbishment of the first floor. The news comes after the departure of NextGear Capital to Edward House, which the contractor fitted out last year in a £700k project.
Simon Jones at Vixcroft said: “Hutcheon Construction engaged early with the design team to produce a high quality spacious environment, which will appeal to new tenants and visitors alike. Their pragmatic approach to issues enabled the job to run smoothly, with the project completing early to a high standard, always demanded by Vixcroft. We look forward to negotiating future projects with Hutcheon Construction on our expanding property portfolio.”
Speaking about the projects, Kurt Hutcheon, director at Hutcheon Construction commented: “We have developed longstanding relationships with both clients and are pleased to be working with them once again to help maximise the value of their property portfolios.
“Our company handles projects across a diverse range of sectors including office, retail and education and we have a healthy pipeline of work.”
