Healthy Foods Online invests over £1m in new Bold Street market
North Liverpool-based digital retailer Healthy Foods Online has revealed plans to launch a new organic food market in the city centre.
The new business, which will be known as LIV, will be housed within Radiant House on Bold Street.
Healthy Foods Online is investing over £1m into renovating the property and refurbishing features of the building it said have not been seen for decades.
Radiant House was formerly the home of The Liverpool Gas Company.
LIV will aim to offer customers a unique, artisan-style twist on traditional basket shopping, with interiors featuring wooden shelves and hints of olive green to resemble a natural environment.
The market’s organic and natural range will include fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as home and body care products.
The site will also feature an artisan bakery and LIV Eatery, a lounge area offering a menu of health waters, smoothies, herbal teas and organic coffees.
Healthy Foods Online, which created dozens of new jobs at its HQ during 2015 and 2016, hopes to eventually expand the concept to other parts of the UK.
LIV on Bold Street is forecast to open its doors in March/April 2017.
