Manchester-based Beech Holdings prepares for ‘big year’ with recruitment drive
Residential property developer Beech Holdings is giving its workforce a boost.
The company plans to create 20 new jobs at its HQ in Manchester, following a £1m investment in the 9,000 sq ft Oxford Road site last year.
The recruitment drive will bring Beech’s headcount to 120 across its Beech Construction, Beech Properties and Manchester Apartments businesses.
The firm’s founder, ‘Manchester’s Restoration Man’ Stephen Beech, said he believes his company is well placed to adapt to any changes that the triggering of Article 50, which will begin Britain’s departure from the EU, might bring.
He said: “2017 is going to be a big year for Beech Holdings, with plenty of exciting projects in the pipeline.
“It follows on from a fantastic 2016 which saw us take on 63 new members of staff, meaning our headcount at the end of the year was 100.”
Stephen added: “Collectively, our expert staff bring unloved historic buildings back to useful purpose and provide affordable high standard low carbon apartments to new graduates and young professionals.”
The new positions, Stephen explained, will be filled by the end of April.
He continued: “Our new starters coming on board will not only join at an exciting time for us in regards to kick-starting new projects, but also at a time of political excitement and change in the Manchester city region – which includes the race to become Greater Manchester’s first Mayor.”
Beech Holdings owns 20 city centre buildings. In November last year, the company acquired a plot of land in Castlefield for the development of Deansgate South, a 53-unit low-carbon residential complex.
