New London sites for Franco Manca and Honest Burgers to open this Spring
Two of the capital’s up and coming casual eateries are plotting new openings in London this Spring, with both Franco Manca and Honest Burgers poised to grow their burgeoning portfolios in the coming months.
Burger brand, Honest Burgers, will be the first to open a new venue this March, having taken a 2,000 sq ft site at 148 Chiswick High Road in West London.
The 75-cover restaurant, which will be the brand’s 19th venue, will take the place of former steak restaurant, The Cabin, and feature outdoor seating at what is described as a ‘prime corner location’ near Turnham Green Terrace.
Meanwhile, Franco Manca is to open its 32nd pizzeria at Russell Square after securing a 1,600 sq ft restaurant near Russell Square tube station.
Split over basement and ground floor, the venue at 4 Bernard Street will give the pizza brand a footing in a student area that is popular with tourist, and is pencilled in for a vague ‘Spring’ opening.
Deals for both restaurants were sealed by property agents Shelley Sandzer, and Leo Feldman, a leasing agent at the firm, said: “We are pleased to have secured another great site in Central London for Franco Manca.
“We are thrilled to continue working closely with them, aiding their growth from a startup business to a nationwide success, one which is at the very forefront of the industry.”
Franco Manca’s Tom Byng added that the area was a perfect fit for the pizza chain and that the opening would be a key plank in its expansion plans for the capital this year.
“The buzzing area around Bernard Street will perfectly suit our pizzeria and we are excited to continue our expansion plans in London,” he said.
