Growing tech startup ebb3 hopes to thrive from new Alderley Park HQ

Tech startup ebb3 has announced a move to Manchester Science Partnership’s (MSP) Alderley Park campus, to facilitate the next step in its growth strategy.

The business, which says its technology replaces the need for Workstations, leverages modern Supercomputer Technology to deliver a user experience wherever an application requires rich computer graphics; an offering often referred to as GPU driven applications.

Taking a unit on the Park’s new Parklands block to act as its corporate headquarters, the company says it is looking to hire at least 20 people in various operational positions.

Founded in 2016, the business is today partnered with leading technology companies Cisco, NetApp, NVIDIA, Citrix, VMware, NEC and Schneider.

Chris Brassington, MD at ebb3, says he is looking forward to being surrounded by world class facilities and innovation at the business’ new base.

He explained: “The campus is an environment in which prominent specialists and thought leaders come together to work and discuss ideas. We are certain we will thrive on that collaborative atmosphere.

“ebb3 helps organisations who use 3D workstations make their business more mobile and enables collaboration and flexibility when specialist workers can’t be in the same location.

“As part of the community of frontrunners in technology and science located at Alderley Park, we will be surrounded by businesses who face the issues we solve every day.

“That will help to keep us at the forefront of technological advances in 3D graphically intensive work. We look forward to enhancing our highly experienced and talented team from an unparalleled pool of excellent candidates in the North West.”

Dr Chris Doherty, Managing Director at Alderley Park, said: “Technologies that allow people to collaborate and work anywhere have a huge role to play in our economy and will affect how businesses across many different sectors operate.

“The ability to access data quickly, safely and when you want to has become fundamental. We’re delighted to welcome ebb3 to Alderley Park.”

Dr Doherty added: “It’s an exciting new business that has great potential to grow and we know they will feel at home here in a community where innovation is prized.”
