Hull ICT business PrimaryTec completes merger with Tech4Schools
PrimaryTec, the Hull-based ICT business, has announced the completion of a merger with Tech4Schools.
This merger will help boost PrimaryTec’s aim of delivering an ICT support solution for education across Hull and the surrounding areas. The joining company will continue to operate under PrimaryTec’s name.
As well as a visual re-brand and new website, an entire new service package has been developed. PrimaryTec showcased this in front of representatives from schools across Hull and the East Riding on Thursday (19th January).
Prior to this, Tech4Schools built a platform for teachers and ICT specialists to access information and training on the latest developments and technology available to schools.
Established in 2008, PrimaryTec has grown year-on-year with a five-fold increase in staff and a near 2000% increase in revenue.
Mike Corlyon, technical director at PrimaryTec, said: “It was something that made complete sense; given the nature of the two existing businesses, their expertise, and the way in which we are delivering ICT now and in the future.”
“We’ve always afforded the opportunity to both explain, and provide technology within the education sector, bridging that gap between the need for information, and providing the right package by offering simple and flexible solutions.
“We install useful technologies whilst providing the training, ongoing support and the continuing development. Everyone becomes more knowledgeable and confident with the use of their ICT - it’s a win-win!”
